Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
This policy explains what personal information Tradelens collects, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and how you signed in (Google, email and password, or guest).
- Trade screenshots: images you upload so they can be analysed. We keep a small thumbnail with each saved report, not the full image.
- Journal data: reports, results you mark (win or loss), notes, and your settings such as account size and risk percentage.
- Coach messages: questions you ask and the answers, during your session.
- Usage: visits, number of trade checks and questions, and average scores, used to run and improve the service.
- Payments: your plan, credit balance and Stripe payment references. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your journal and credits.
- To analyse your screenshots and answer your coach questions.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To see how the app is used and fix problems.
- To contact you about your account, payments or important changes.
We don't sell your personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run Tradelens. Some are based outside Australia, mainly in the United States:
- Google Firebase for sign-in and storing your journal.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) to analyse screenshots and answer questions. Images and messages are sent to Anthropic for processing.
- Stripe to process payments.
- Vercel and Upstash to host the website and store credit balances.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
Your journal can only be read by your own account. Data is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
Your choices
- You can download your journal (CSV) or delete all trades in Settings.
- You can delete your account in Settings, which removes your journal and account details.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by emailing us.
- If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
